pharmacological action
Glutathione is a tripeptide compound containing thiol groups, which has important physiological activities such as activating the redox system, activating enzymes, and detoxification in the human body. Glutathione exists in two forms in the body: reduced and oxidized. Its active ingredient is reduced glutathione, which participates in the tricarboxylic acid cycle and glucose metabolism in the body, promoting the production of high energy and acting as a coenzyme. Reduced glutathione is a cofactor of glyceraldehyde phosphodeoxygenase, as well as a coenzyme of glyoxal enzyme and phosphoglyceramide deaminase. Reduced glutathione can activate SH enzymes in the body, promote the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins, and regulate the metabolic processes of cell membranes. Reduced glutathione can bind with various exogenous and endogenous toxic substances to generate attenuated substances.
Indications
